Robigo awarded $1.25M in NSF SBIR funding to advance solution for Sudden Death Syndrome in soybean

September, 2025: Robigo was awarded $1.25M in NSF Phase II SBIR funding to advance our engineered microbial solution for Sudden Death Syndrome in soybean.

This award will accelerate our work to bring commercial-ready strains to growers, validate performance in multi-season field trials, and scale production. SDS causes up to $500M in annual losses to U.S. soybean production, and Robigo’s solution delivers consistent, season-long yield protection while safeguarding beneficial organisms.

Beyond soybean, this funding supports the advancement of Robigo’s broader crop protection platform, unlocking the next generation of biological solutions to address other high-impact agricultural diseases.
