Research Associate / Senior Research Associate, Lab Management

  • Job description

    We’re looking for a driven and organized research associate or lab manager responsible for supporting day to day lab operations including media preparation, inventory and ordering of consumables, etc. You will play a key role in coordinating activities with R&D team members owning and delegating tasks to keep the lab running. This position is best suited for a self-motivated individual looking to work in an early-stage, mission-driven company. This role is an opportunity for curious and growth-minded candidates to support the R&D team with assays, experiments, or other tasks.

  • What you'll do

    • Support lab operations including media preparation, autoclave cycles, consumables inventory and ordering, dishes,

    • Support R&D team Regulatory Science team; safety and permitting, shipment of trial materials.

    • Maintain Robigo equipment and coordinate with the Engine facilities team as needed.

    • Opportunity to grow and support R&D team with assays and experiments.

  • Who you are

    • Organized and solution-oriented with a demonstrated ability to support day to day laboratory operations

    • A 2 to 4 years degree in any relevant field (Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, etc.) and an interest in career growth. Prior experience as a lab manager, technician or RA preferred.

    • Curious, open minded and motivated to take part in the building of an organization and creating an awesome place to work

  • Skillset

    • Experience with the following techniques: media preparation, autoclave use, sterile pipetting, writing work instruction

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Strong interpersonal skills including clear communication of expectations and roadblocks, positive attitude

    • Capable of standing, sitting, bending. Should feel comfortable lifting 30 lbs
