Director of Product / Technical Product Manager

Position Overview
The Director of Product will lead the company’s technical product development strategy, bridging grower and agronomic needs with internal development priorities. This role is central to advancing the company’s product pipeline by designing and executing scalable field trials, defining product specifications, and ensuring that development priorities align with market requirements and grower adoption.

Responsibilities
Lead the company’s Product Development Team to build product development strategy and align product performance specifications with market needs.
Define key product specifications based on grower feedback, market requirements, and field performance.
Engage directly with growers and ag experts to ground truth product value proposition and performance requirements.
Design, implement, and oversee field trial programs, including protocols, deployment, and analysis.
Supervise the Field Trial Manager and collaborate with field trial partners (CROs, Universities, Commercial partners, etc) to ensure field trials are executed flawlessly.
Build multi-year frameworks to streamline trialing and product development as Robigo’s product pipeline scales.
Collaborate with internal research teams (Strain Engineering, Analytics, and Bioprocessing) to ensure their upstream work is supporting field trial and product development success.
Translate technical findings into actionable product strategies.
Shape product direction and guide research priorities to support strong product adoption at launch.
Perform additional responsibilities or special projects as requested to support Robigo’s strategic objectives.
Education & Experience
Preferred PhD or MS in microbiology, plant biology, biochemistry, or related discipline.
Advanced degree not required; expectation of commensurate industry experience.
Must-haves
Demonstrated ability to scale trial programs and advance products toward commercial adoption.
Strong knowledge of agronomic application methods, trial design, and protocols.
Proven track record in commercializing agricultural biological products, ideally microbial crop protection.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage data science in product development and adoption.
Nice-to-haves
Prior experience building and leading a research-driven product pipeline.
Familiarity with industry best practices in product development frameworks.
